Are pets allowed?
Our hotel is reserved for two-legged guests. Dogs are allowed at the campsite, as long as they are not on the breed list. More information can be found in the camping FAQ.
Are there charging facilities for electric cars at Haus Zirngast?
Yes, our hotel has two e-charging stations that are available during your stay.
Cancellation policy hotel
The cancellation policy at Haus Zirngast may vary depending on the travel period, season, and the rate booked. The applicable cancellation conditions will be clearly communicated during the booking process and in your booking confirmation.
If no specific cancellation policy is stated in your booking confirmation, the General Terms and Conditions for the Hotel Industry (AGBH) automatically apply (version dated 22 January 2026).
We also recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance so you are well protected in case of any unexpected changes.
For groups of 10 rooms or more, individual cancellation policies will be arranged. Please feel free to contact us directly for details.
Is Haus Zirngast barrier-free?
All our rooms are easily accessible by wheelchair via a ramp at the main entrance and our elevator. In addition, 1 room is completely barrier-free.
Is there free parking available at Haus Zirngast?
Of course, we also have a cozy spot for your motorized travel companion. In our free parking lot right next to the hotel.
Is there free wi-fi throughout the hotel?
Yes, free wi-fi is available throughout the hotel. At the campsite too - almost down to the last corner.
When can I check in and when do I have to check out?
Check-in is possible from 15:00, check-out until 10:00.
Where is Haus Zirngast located and how far is it to the center of Schladming and the Planai?
Only about 700 meters or in other words about 10 minutes walk separate our hotel
- from the center of Schladming and
- from the valley station of the Planai cable car.
It (almost) couldn't be more central.

Are the rooms at Haus Zirngast equipped with a safe?
Yes, you can store your valuables in your room safe.
Do you have bed linen and pillows for allergy sufferers?
Unfortunately, we can't help you with that.
I would like to have an uncomfortable room. Do you have that too?
Oh dear, unfortunately we can't help you with that. But we do have an idea: bring a blindfold with you so you can't see how pretty your room is and can imagine it as uncomfortable as you like. 😊
I've heard that mattresses in hotels are always a bit "bad". Is that true?
Good and, above all, hygienic mattresses are very important to us. That's why not only the toppers in our beds are washed regularly, but also the mattresses themselves are cleaned from top to bottom every year by our hygiene partner Sleep Tidy.
Is there a fridge or minibar in the rooms?
Yes, there is of course a cooling facility in our rooms, but instead of the minibar we recommend our maxibar - a drink in our cozy guesthouse.

Yes, we offer vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options on request.

Breakfast is included in the room price for our hotel guests.
Is there an à la carte menu in the restaurant?
Of course! And always seasonal and with good ingredients from the region.
What are your breakfast times?
Our fabulous breakfast buffet is available from 07:00 to 10:00. And you can find out what's on offer here.

Can I hire bikes or ski equipment from you?
You'll find everything your sporting heart desires at our equipment partners nearby - and as our hotel guest, at discounted prices too.
What wellness facilities do you have?
Some of them! A Finnish old wood sauna, an organic Swiss stone pine sauna, an aroma steam bath, ... oh, just take a look at our wellness page, you'll find out everything there.

Are there special offers for longer stays or families?
As we say in good Austrian: A little something is always possible. For stays of 10 nights or more, we are sure to have a good offer for you. Just get in touch with us directly.
How can I change or cancel a booking with you?
If you have booked online via our website, you can edit your booking using the PIN code from the booking confirmation. Have you booked by e-mail or telephone? Then simply get in touch with us. If your booking came to us via a third-party provider, please contact this booking platform.
Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, EC card and major credit cards (MasterCard, Visa).
Camping
Are there sanitary facilities and an electricity connection on the campsite?
Yes, our campsite is equipped with modern sanitary facilities and electricity connections.
Cancellation policy camping
Carefree booking - Sometimes things change - no problem. With us you book relaxed.
Cancel free of charge:
Free of charge up to 8 days before arrival.
Cancellations at short notice:
7 to 2 days before arrival: 30 % of the total stay.
1 day before arrival, no-show or early departure: 50 % of the total stay.
Deposit & processing:
A processing fee of € 10.00 per pitch will be charged if the deposit is returned.
We recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance.
Is it possible to camp with you in winter?
Yes, winter camping is not only possible with us, but expressly encouraged. Our pitches are perfectly prepared for the cold season and offer you a home base for the whole season. Find out more here.
What pitches does your campsite offer?
With us, tents, camping buses, caravans and motorhomes find a good place - cozy and compact.
Arrival & Transfers
Do you offer a shuttle service to the train station or airport?
We offer a free pick-up service from Schladming train station for up to 4 people. Please let us know at least 24 hours before your arrival so that we can be at the station in time.
If you need a transfer from another pick-up location, please contact our partners Taxi Tom or Habersatter Reisen.
How far is Haus Zirngast from the nearest bus stop?
You will find the Schladming Citybus station directly opposite the hotel. The central bus station in Schladming is Rathausplatz (town hall square) - and it's only a 10-minute walk from us. Public transport could hardly be closer.
Is there a ski bus in winter and where is the nearest bus stop?
Yes, the ski bus stop is right in front of the hotel. In high season, the bus takes you to the Planai valley station every 30 minutes.
